Started in the sport as a mechanic for Mick Hill and also worked at Rolls Royce, before joining Cosworth in 1984. Although he joined as a designer, he worked on a number of roles there, including track support & R & D. His engines helped Michael Schumacher win the title in 1994, and although later years weren't as successful, he remained in charge of the F1 challenge for Cosworth. Nick then moved to the US to work for Richard Childress Racing in NASCAR, but now works as an independent design and engineering consultant.
