Notes on the cars:

  1. Wimhurst (Jack Paterson): Designed and built in 1972 by Len Wimhurst, the former Palliser designer. It was a monocoque design and intended for F2 but fitted with a BDA engine and used in F/Atlantic in 1972 and 1974 by Jack Paterson.
  2. Lotus 69 [71/69.1] (Bernard Hunter): Number given in Lotus build record for the car sold to Chris Oates, for Atlantic races in 1971 (an unusual number since it does not include a formula code, and this is not the same car as 71/69.1.FB which was sold in North America). The car of Bernard Hunter in libre and occasional Atlantic races in 1972 is described as 'ex Oates'. Subsequently used in libre races by John Barr.
