Notes on the cars:
- Brabham BT30 [15] (Brian Hart): Sold new 1970 to Bob Gerard and used in European F2 by Henri Pescarolo and Peter Gaydon. Retained 1971, and run in the early part of the season in F2 for Brian Hart. However, financial constraints forced Gerard to cut back and he then ran the car in Atlantic for his mechanic, Bob Salisbury. Replaced as the team’s main car by a BT35 late in the 1971 season but retained and continued to appear on occasion. Sold to Martin Webb in 1972 for Libre races [chassis no. given MN 15 Jun 1972 p5].
- Brabham BT30 [12] (Tommy Reid): Autosport identifies BT30-12 as Reid's F2 car in 1971 implying BT30-8 was his FVC libre car. As BT30-8 is advertised by Bobby Howlings in late 1971, it is reasonable to assume that it was BT30-12 that Reid retained for the early part of 1972, still FVA-powered. That car goes to Nelson Todd in July 1972 and has then been tentatively identified as John Pollock's 1973 car, Harold McGarrity's 1974 car and Paddy Heron's 1975 BT30.
- Brabham BT30 [10] (Cyd Williams): Sold new to Sports Motors for 1970 European F2 season and raced by Tim Schenken. Press reports at the start of 1971 have this car sold to Ian Bannen and entered by him for Cyd Williams in F2. Sold mid 1971 to Bill Creasy, and used in Libre races, mainly at Silverstone. Presumed to be the car raced occasionally in Atlantic by Creasy in 1971/72. Hill-climbed by Simon Riley in 1974.

Individual sources for this event
Most chassis numbers at Thruxton are reported by Autosport 18 Mar 1971 p23 except Reid's BT30 and Pickering's ex-Dean BT23C which appear to be misprints given what else is known of these cars. Lauda's car is given as 712M-6 but this would also appear to be a misprint as that was Perrot's car and Lauda's regular car was 712M-9. It is possible Lauda's car wasn't ready and Perrot's was borrowed for that event. Jeremy Richardson's BT30 is said to be ex-Bell (Motoring News 7 Jan 1971 p18) and Brian Nelson's Crosslé 18F was the Sebring Formula B winner as the Bogota car was still on the boat.
