Notes on the cars:

  1. March 782 (Kenji Takahashi): Kenji Takahashi raced a March 782 in Japanese F2 in 1979 and early 1980. He last drove the car in April 1980, and then appeared in Japanese Formula Pacific in a March 79B, raising suspicions that the 782 could have been converted, but the 79B appears to be the car Takao Wada had previously been racing. Wada moved to a Hayashi 80P. The history of the March 782 after April 1980 is unknown.
  2. March 782 [7] (Richard Thomas Geck): Bruno Giacomelli's works car at Thruxton 27 Mar 1978 and presumably all season. To Japan at the end of the year and used by Giacomelli to win at Suzuka 5 Nov 1978. Then to Diatone Racing (Le Mans Company) for Keiji Matsumoto in 1979. Sold to Richard Thomas Geck (Kaira Garage) later in the year and raced by Geck to the end of 1980.
