Car designer, better known for his work with Fiat, for whom he worked for aeons, retiring in the late 1970's. He joined the company in 1928, and was the lead designer between 1946 and 1970. He was behind the Fiat Topolino, the Fiat 600, and most famously of all the Nova Cinquecento. Giacosa, who was a modest, humble man who was immensely respected by the industry and this is what got him into racing, when Piero Dusio asked him to design a small racing car that would be available for a relatively low price to encourage racing.
