Until recently, Mario was Operations Director at Ferrari, whom he joined in the early 1990's after a technical apprenticeship which included a spell as a teacher and in technical sales. In 2008, he switched to Ferrari's road car division in the quality and operations department. He rose to be a Vice-President of the firm, but after 23 years there, Mario left Ferrari in 2015 to join brake disc specialist, Brembo, specifically being in charge of their Chinese division. Mario, who was based there for two years, oversaw the sales in this growing market as well as being in charge of the new factories being built there. In 2017, he moved back to Parma and Italy, and is now head of the performance division at the company.
