Now mostly retired, although he is still involved with Cosworth and Ford, and heads his own firm, RWB, an automotive company in Torrance, CA, which has links with the IRL. Now living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ressler holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering and he joined Ford as a result of this back in 1967, initially as a research scientist. He then became a design engineer in suspension and steering before he moved both up the engineering and management ladder at the firm. In 1994 he became a vice-president at Ford and became more involved with motorsport, initially with Stewart Grand Prix and then with Jaguar.
