A sports car builder and 500cc constructor, he built and raced cars under the Emeryson banner. Took over the family firm from his father, George (Paul being the son in this case), who built cars back in the 1930's. Bought out by Hugh Powell, he stayed with Powell and designed the Scirocco car. He then became an engine tuner, before developing Hillman Imps for racing. Son Peter carried on the car building tradition at Emeryson, when he built FJ racing cars. |
