Now works at BMW, where he has been for a while - dealing with the motorsport side of the company as an engineer - mainly in touring and GT cars. Fober helped design the BMW M3 car for the American Le Mans Series. As well as his spell at Rial, where Fober was initially a race engineer, Stefan also worked for his countryman, Gunther Schmid (who he later followed to Rial) and his ATS team as a development engineer.
