An industrial mechanic in Germany, who emigrated to Canada in 1959. Worked for Stebro until Peter Broeker's death in 1980. It was actually Walter, not Broeker, who designed the Stebro cars, the first rear-engined Canadian racing car. Died in 2013, after suffering a stroke whilst fighting lung cancer, but until the onset of illness, kept links to the sport, from his base in Hawkesbury, Ontario, but also enjoyed ballroom dancing.
