He has since been involved in a fraud scandal over the last days of Footwork, but this didn't stop him later working as a managing director at David Morris International. Now retired. Ohashi originally worked for a transportation company called Nihon Unsou in 1970. By 1981, he had moved up the business and put together a merger of seven transportation companies, including Nihon Unsou that became known, as a trading name, as Footwork, which became a large courier company. However by the time Footwork entered Formula 1, largely through their involvement with Aguri Suzuki who they had backed since Formula 3000, the business had diversified with Ohashi at the helm into restaurants, construction and beverages and had bases in Japan, Hong Kong, the UK and the US.
