Experienced engineer and chassis man, formerly head of engineering at Cosworth. Retired at the end of 2020 after over 10 years at Boeing Aerospace at Portsmouth as a Programme Manager. Prior to that, Ian worked in a similiar role for Selex Communications, also in Portsmouth and then prior to that, was involved in programme management for Augusta Westland helicopters. Ian was involved with Ford for seven years, which involved not only his roles at Jaguar, Red Bull and Cosworth, but also at Pi Research, where he was the engineering director. Ian is fluent in Italian and has both a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Wales, but also a doctorate from Cranfield University.
