Nationality:

France/Brazil

Grands Prix:

7 (1955-1956)

Died, aged 100, in 2026. He still made rare appearances at historic events, including, recently, the Monaco Historic event in 2010 and the Ancien Pilotes meeting in Stuttgart in 2012. Born in France of a French mother and Brazilian businessman, Nano - as he was often known - raced in both countries prior to making his debut in Grand Prix racing. Hermano's most notable triumph was probably winning the Coupe de Vitesse at Montlhery in 1956. Nano retired from driving at the end of the 1960 season because his wife was becoming ill because of the worry of what would happen to him when he raced.
