Another kart graduate, Marcus moved through the normal ranks of Formula Renault, Formula 4 and Formula 3, winning the Italian Formula 4 Championship in 2016. He moved up to Formula 2 in 2020, spending three years in the category, winning four times. In 2023, he moved to Indycar and remains there in 2024, but in a full-time capacity.
