Riding mechanic, based in California, who sometimes acted as support to racers in the early 1910's. Also worked as a mechanic in a garage. His own individual Indianapolis 500 attempt, in a Continental car saw him fail to qualify. Fuller later worked as an automobile inspector in Indianapolis for a while but his means of racing was through the family paint manufacturing company, W Fuller and Co., formed by his father. Fuller was a millionaire who enjoyed racing, sailing and was also a racehorse owner but also used his money to good effect in the San Francisco community through philanthropic events. George, whose middle name was Pope, later ran the paint company himself. Rather aptly, his second wife, Jean had the surname of Painter! Died after a period of ill health.
