Full name John, he started in the sport by racing motorbikes in 1948. He did very well in this discipline before moving into car racing, which he stopped doing in 1960. Later became a car salesman in Scottsdale, Arizona and California, where he died. Long based in Arizona during his racing career, he was probably at his best in roadsters. One of the roadsters that he often competed - and won - in was for Lars and Ray Dahlgren, known as Dahlgren's little Jewel, as the Dahlgren family owned a jewellery store.
