Amateur driver, a sometime mechanic, who doubled up as a riding mechanic on occasion. Son of a dentist, Headley's entry was disallowed as only half the entry fee had been paid, but with only 26 cars entered, it would've been likely he would've raced had he been able to find the funds. This appears to have put an end to Mervin's racing career as he doesn't appear to have raced again afterwards.
