Competed in the 1968 Winter Olympic games in the bobsleigh event. Probably better known, motorsport wise, for his sportscar and rally career. Although born in Malaga, he was of Catalan stock and has lived in Barcelona for years. He is now a member of the Spanish Olympic Committee and also worked in motorsport publishing and remains very interested in motorsport. Baturone finished bobsleighing after a serious accident at Cervinia in 1971 - the crash killed his team-mate and left Eugenio seriously injured.
