Full name Rickcliffe, he later became a car owner. He was also a promoter, organiser and publicist for midget racing, and was a pioneer in the discipline's popularity on the East Coast of the USA. He also buillt his own midget cars. Retired from driving in 1938, and later became an aviator and owned an aviation company.
