Later worked as a technical director for Lamborghini in both Formula 1 and in road cars. Now involved in the road car division of the company, despite stepping down as their technical director back in 1996, especially with the internet division and has particulary worked on the Lamborghini Diablo. Marmiroli also has his own design studio, which he co-founded with Giacomo Caliri. Luigi qualified in 1969 with a mechanical engineering doctorate from the University of Padova, before joining Ferrari. Luigi, who still lives in Modena, became well known for his work with Caliri and their design of Minardi's Formula 2 cars. He also occasionally lectures to the local university students regarding mechanical engineering.
