Charlie Keene's racing mechanic and business partner, Rogers only had a few drives, mainly as a relief driver with Keene. Rodgers also helped design and build the Beaver Bullet, which finished in eighth place in the 1914 Indianapolis 500 and was the mechanical and designing brain of the duo, whilst Keene was the publicist and the figurehead to the project. One year later, at Indianapolis, Rodgers, highly thought of as a riding mechanic, he was the relief driver for Art Klein and his Kleinart project.
