A racer at a very young age (his parents bought him a quad bike when he was two, and he started driving cross bikes at the age of four), he began karting aged just 5 years old. In 2018, he moved into British Formula 4, and in 2019, he competed in two series; Italian and ADAC F4, winning the Italian title that year. He raced in the FIA Formula 3 series in 2020 and 2021, winning the title in the latter year to then move up into Formula 2, where he spent three seasons, winning five times. He moved to America and the Indy NXT series in 2025, dominating the championship and winning six times on his way to the title, earning him an Indycar drive with Dale Coyne for 2026, becoming the first full-blooded Norwegian Indycar driver (not including Norske Larson, who was from Swedish descent) since Gil Andersen in 1916.
