Only major race as a driver was the Indianapolis 500 attempt. Was mainly a riding mechanic, as that was his profession. Larry, who drove a Jones & Maley Duesenberg car was a Duesenberg employee and worked on engine assembly and design in particular. A prematurely balding chap, it is not clear if his 1932 attempt was a serious effort to qualify or a shakedown for the company of their racing car, but either way, Larry failed to qualify. His real name was Maurice, but was notable locally enough in Indianapolis for his death, from heart disease, to be reported in the Hopewell News.
