Now retired, after a career in the DTM, the World Touring Car Championship and GT's. Now works in marketing and communication for a company in his hometown who specialises in sleep deprivation, sleep apnea and eradicating snoring. Tielemans was, like so many of his generation, a graduate of kart racing, graduating to Formula Renault in 2002, competing in both the European and Benelux championships. It was a rapid rise, arguably too rapid up to Formula 3000 the next season and thereafter, Olivier appeared in touring and sportscars and as well as the aforementioned series above, also raced in the Renault Megane Trophy.
