Full name Rinus Van Kalmthout, Rinus is the son of former Boss GP Series driver, Marjin van Kalmthout. Rinus raced in various Benelux karting series before progressing to cars - and specifically the V de V Challenge - in 2016. In 2017, he moved to America and instantly achieved great success. He won the 2018 Pro Mazda title and the 2019 Formula 3 Asia Winter Series, before capping this off with a successful debut Indy Lights campaign, taking six wins in all. He finished runner-up in the series to earn a rapid - but deserved - Indycar ride in 2020. Rinus finished 14th in the standings to win the Rookie of the Year and to keep his seat in 2021 and remains in the series for 2024.
