He now also makes prototypes for various industries, using state-of-the-art cutting technology, and this includes parts for NASCAR. Rarely drives now, bar kart challenges. Johncox proved a consistent finisher in the Infiniti Pro Series, finishing most of his races in a car he owned and drove, but his IRL spell didn't go as well, with his 11th place at the Longhorn 500 on his IRL debut proving to be his best result. Prior to his IRL debut in 1999, Johncox was a long-time midget driver. In 2020, Johncox diversified his business to produce face shields in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
