Lives in London, where he's now retired and enjoying life. Still races, very occasionally, in historic events. Started his racing in Ireland in 1967, before moving over in 1971 to England to race in Formula Ford. A quick but crash-prone driver, he was the inspiration behind the Mad Dog character of the Catchpole racing cartoons of the era. Damien pretty much retired from the sport in 1977, but did a final event racing hot rods in 1983.
