One of the few relatively successful drivers from the old Eastern Bloc, Franci later raced in sportscars after his F1 dream failed. He was close to a Surtees drive in 1976, but his sponsorship dried up. He is now a leading broadcaster, consultant and commentator on Slovenian TV, whilst his two children have also become racers. Jerancic started racing in 1969 before moving to England and competing in Formula Ford. He carried on racing until 1989 and then became a team boss. Latterly, he supported Nina by being her mechanic and tactician for her Ferrari Challenge effort. Nina has also followed Franci's footsteps with boradcasting as she is a motorsports reporter.
