Former GP2 driver whose spell in the IRL was beset by funding problems, which meant a stop-start year, with testing and Indy Lights filling in his season. Then moved to Formula Superleague from 2008 to 2010 and the GP2 series again in 2009. Now racing in the European Le Mans series and the IMSA sportscar series amongst other sportscar series (British GT and the Michelin Le Mans Cup) as well as the DTM. Franck's early career rise was meteoric with early success in karting, followed by the 2003 Italian Formula Renault title but during his difficult spells, he almost left the sport and worked in a hotel for a while.
