1996 CART Champion, the last American CART champion, now retired after years in the category, where he won 10 times. Runs a successful Toyota and Chevrolet dealership in California, but is also a driver coach, team owner (the KVSH team in the IRL until their demise in 2017 and then in partnership with Dale Coyne from 2018 onwards), and also has commercial property interests in Nevada, as well as running a vineyard. He does still race in special events, including Grand-Am, and more recently, in Super Trucks.
