Canadian born, but American racer, full names were Leonide Albert. Very occasional racer on board and dirt tracks. Worked as a motel owner. Leonide came over to America in May 1922 from Vancouver to Seattle by boat. Leonide's Indianapolis 500 attempt was his only major attempt at racing, entering his own Duesenberg but with a failure to qualify. Leonide's family originally hailed from France.
