Also known as Bia Figueiredo. Female driver who has been based in US and Brazil for a while. Her main focus was her career in the US. She raced in the Indycar Series part-time until 2013, and was in the United SportsCar Series. However, in 2015, she returned to Brazil to race in stock cars and remained in the category the following three years. In 2008, Bia became the first female driver to win an Indy Lights race, when she won at Nashville SuperSpeedway and ended up as winning that year's Rookie of the Year Award. In 2019, she moved into US Sportscars and stock cars in her homeland. In 2020, she was linked to an alleged state embezzlement and money laundering scheme by her father-in-law. It is alleged she received funds from him into one of her own businesses. However, she was fully cleared of any involvement and after having a little time out to give birth and raise her first child, she returned to the American sportscar series accordingly in 2021. She works as a commentator and raced in the TCR South American series in 2022 and the COPA Truck series in 2023 and 2024. She is also involved in promoting women's racing and administration and runs (and races) in her own kart team.
