Former IRL racer, more recently in Brazilian stockcars. Drives have been rare recently, although he does race in some endurance events, he's retired from full-time racing, and is now race instructing, as well as being a full-time helicopter and commercial pilot. Thiago was the 2004 Indy Lights Champion and the Brazilian Formula Chevrolet champion in 1998, who was also a multiple race winner in the Sud-Am Formula 3 Championship. As well as single seaters, Thiago also appeared in the Silver Crown series - unusually for a Brazilian - during his time in the United States
