Former Toyota F1 protege, who moved to the US and the IRL in 2005. Injury stalled his career, but he appeared in CART, A1 GP and some V8 series races in his homeland, before finding a permanent drive in the ALMS series. This went very well and facilitated a return to the IRL in 2008. Until 2013, he raced full-time in the series, but that year saw him race in ALMS, V8 Supercars and Le Mans, as well as appearing at the Indy 500.
