Son of Enzo, who still has a 10 per cent stake in the company, which in itself, makes him a billionaire. Most of his work, however is PR and development of both the Ferrari road cars and the family heritage. The son of Ferrari's mistress, Lina Lardi, Piero could only play a part in the family business after the death of Enzo's wife, Laura, in 1978. After qualifying with a degree in engineering, Piero worked as a translator and the road car production head before having a more senior role in the business after his father died in 1988. He runs his own manufacturing business, HPE COXA, as well as being a shareholder of the Ferretti shipbuilding group.
