Touring car and hillclimber who although he won the Austrian Touring Car title in 1979, really excelled at hillclimbs. He is also a good friend of Walter Wolf, and that link led to opportunities and very nearly, a F1 drive in 1979. Still well, he runs a garage in Kuchl, where he lives, but he remains linked to St. Koloman as he is involved in a sports club there and still enjoys ski-ing locally.
