A Coloni Formula 3 driver, he got a call-up to race in the last F3000 race of 2003 after Baumgartner's F1 call-up. Brother of Giovanni, he remained with Coloni in F3 in 2004, then moved to the Renault World Series, before moving to the FIA GT series in 2007. He continued in endurance until 2010, when he switched to Italian touring cars. In 2012, he appeared in Italian GT's before finishing his career. Also raced under an Italian racing licence. Since 2009, he is working in the family industrial machinery firm and also spent a while as commentator in Italy for the EuroV8 series.
