American driver, sometimes listed as being born in Canada. Sometimes promoted as Italian for publicity methods, Mazzucco used both his colonial links and his maternal links (his mother was British; his father American but of Italian descent), to serve in Britain's tank army corps during World War One, reaching the rank of Lieutenant, but doesn't appear to have settled in Britain afterwards. (He does list himself as British though in the war records). As a racer, there's very little to Mazzucco's career it seems. He failed to qualify for the 1914 Indianapolis 500 and didn't appear at any other senior race after that. He was also an aviator and a member of the Royal Air Corps and was a fully qualified pilot. He changed his surname to Palmeri, and died in 1942, under that surname.
