For a while, Kazuo remained with Toyota as the project manager of their engine development team. He has also worked in a number of other roles including general manager and has written a few technical articles about engine development and has a number of patents to his name. Now based in Shizuoka. In more recent years, he has worked with FVV Japan, a combustion engine development and research organisation.
