Most recently in US sportscars and US Touring Cars, Memo has been recovering from serious injuries sustained in a nasty crash in 2014, which left him with spinal injuries and 14 broken bones, amongst other injuries. In 2018, he returned to racing again, competing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge. In 2019, he had a mixed bag of roles; he drove on occasion in sportscars; he still works as a driver coach; he is a development and test driver and now also tests and races karts as well as being a coach in this discipline. Howver his main pursuit now is taking part in sailboat racing. Born in Mexico of US and Canadian parents, he spent much of his first eight years on a boat as his father was a fisherman and his mother a writer. He continues to maintain boats as well. In 2021, he raced in the GT4 America Series and in 2022 back to the IMSA Prototype Challenge. In 2023, he is in the main GT America series.
