Former IRL driver, who was in ALMS, then in the new US Sportscar Series, where he had his own team in the GT class, but also raced in the WEC endurance series too. However the team shut down in late 2018. In 2016, he won the Daytona 24 Hour race and the Sebring 12 Hours event. Sharp is the son of sportscar racer Bob Sharp who won IMSA and SCCA titles in the 1960's and 1970's. Scott also raced in SCCA events in the 1980's after graduating from karts, winning numerous titles. In 1996, he co-won the IRL title. He took 9 wins in the Indycar Series over 13 years and also won the ALMS LMP1 title in 2009.
