Was in the Champ Car World Series, but has now switched over to the merged Indycar series. Still there in 2023, having won the title in 2014 and 2022, and has proved one of the best drivers in the series in recent years, winning the Indianapolis 500 in 2018. Power is the son of Bob Power, who raced in Formula Holden. Will raced against him and also won the 2002 championship but also competed in Australian Formula Ford and Formula 3. He moved to England to compete in British F3 and then spent a varied career testing F1 cars, racing in Formula Renault 3.5 and A1 GP, before moving over to the United States in 2006 after a successful one-off in the Champ Car race at Surfer's Paradise in 2005.
