Kojima (1976-1977)

Kojima started in the sport as a motocross rider, racing with Suzuki for many years. This was funded by his work as importer of banana's and other fruits and he founded his team in 1970, retiring from motocross at the same time. He then worked as a successful single-seater constructor for almost every level of Japanese racing, including a memorable stint as a Formula 1 constructor, as well as Japanese Formula 3 and Formula 2. Kojima shut the team down in 1979, before going into powerboat racing as a constructor and administrator, before retiring from that sport in 2007. Matsuhisa doesn't make a lot of appearances at events, but does still remain interested in the sport. Carried on running Japanese F2 and F3 teams until the 1980's, before retiring. Now involved in powerboat racing in a managerial and administration role.
