Son of Jody. His single-seater career towards Formula 1 took a nosedive after a run-in with the law in the UK. Then moved Stateside and into the IRL. He was a regular driver in the series, with two wins up to 2011, but scaled back his racing after Dan Wheldon's fatal accident. He tends to mainly be nvolved in his father's organic farming business in Laverstoke Park, and subsequently, has moved back to the UK. In 2020, he revealed that whilst Wheldon's death was a factor, it was actually for health reasons he stopped racing. Despite his age, Scheckter suffered a number of strokes and had to have a heart operation. He is now much better but will not do any more one-offs (like in Britcar) that he had previously took part in.
