One of the more successful female drivers, Katherine has been in the American Le Mans Series, the Champ Car World Series and other endurance events before moving into the DTM, but after a struggle to get a drive there, she got an Indycar seat in 2012. However 2013 saw her lose her seat and since then, she has a steady ride in the USCS, although Legge returned to Indy in 2013 for an one-off attempt. For a while, Katherine also appeared in the Formula E series. 2018 saw her remain in the US Sportscar Championship but later in the year, she moved to the new Formula E Jaguar I-Pace etrophy Series. She is back in US sportscars in 2020. In 2021, she took part in the Extreme E Series and in IMSA as well. She continues in the latter in 2024, but also returned to Indianapolis for the first time in a decade in 2023.
