3-litre Formula 1 World Championship events 1966-1985

These 1966 to 1985 results were initially compiled by Allen Brown, but these were in the very basic form required to track individual car histories. Since then further details, such as laps completed, qualifying times and so on, have been added from Rob Ryder's extensive database.

All comments, clarifications, corrections and additions are most welcome. Please email Allen at allen@oldracingcars.com if you can help with our research.

Individual sources for this event

Autosport 28 Jun 1969 pp6-13. Motor Sport August 1968 pp716-719. Motoring News 27 Jun 1968 pp1,8-10. Speedworld International 29 Jun 1968 pp16-23. Autosport and Motor Sport both identified T cars brought by Tyrrell and Ferrari, but Motor Sport also listed BRM 126-02 available to Dickie Attwood. This car had not been seen since the Tasman series, and as nobody else mentioned a fourth BRM, it may have been a figment of Jenks' imagination. With aerofoil madness in full flow, Lotus continued with an upswept tail and front side wings, Brabham had added an aerofoil above the rear suspension to their front spoilers, Tyrrell's Matras now had small deflectors on the nose, Ferrari continued with the bib but added an aerofoil above the engine, and BRM continued with the same small deflectors.
