The current Alfa Romeo technical director, who has been in the role since 2019. Also has German citizenship. Started off as an aerodynamics graduate and has been in Formula 1 since 2002. He initially worked with Toyota and then was in various aerodynamic roles with Ferrari, Audi and Sauber before taking on a more senior managerial role in 2019.
