Real name Fred, he has been unusually active since death, as his ashes have been taken by a friend to parties and for a ride in a midget car! Peters was one of four racing brothers; Al, Walt and John all raced at various levels in stock cars. Jiggs started being involved in racing in the 1930's when he entered a sprint car that he had worked on, but he did not start racing himself until 1948. Jiggs won the 1951 American Racing Driver's Club Midget Championship and won 19 ARDC races. Jiggs continued to be successful until the early 1960's in the discipline, but also raced in NASCAR and AAA events and took a few sprint car wins. Jiggs won his last race in a dirt-track midget race in Nazareth, but was badly injured one year later and retired shortly afterwards.
