Attended reunions and historic meetings from time to time before his illness and death. Real name Charles. He retired from racing after Bobby Marshman's fatal accident and later went round Haddonfield talking to schools (his sister was a teacher) and other groups talking about racing and automobile mechanics. Magill served in the Army Air Corps during World War Two, fighting in the Pacific where he was involved in the brutal battles at Guadalcanal and Bougainville.
