Died relatively recently, after a long illness. Until he fell ill, he was still heavily involved with the sport, either with driving, historic festivals and as a team boss in the FIA GT series. Dacco, who often claimed he was five years older than he actually was - unusually for a driver - started racing in motorcycles in the 1960's. After his various single-seater spells, Guido also raced in touring cars and sportscars for a while and also had a spell in IMSA earlier in his career. Dacco was a very popular man and had great enthusiasm for the sport.
